What you will enjoy doingThe Global AMS Manager is responsible for strategically coordinating mold manufacturing across the global internal mold shops within ALPLAinject. This includes full accountability for each mold shop, encompassing order management, manufacturing, assembly, mold testing, validation, shipment to customers, service, mold installation and startup activities. A key strategic objective is developing all mold shops to achieve a uniform, world-class standard through structural enhancements, quality improvements, efficient processes, and cost-effective operations to ensure attractive mold pricing and rapid speed-to-market. This role carries direct profit and loss responsibility and requires strong leadership to mentor and guide local AMS Plant Managers and their teams, engaged teams across all internal mold shop locations.Your main tasks will be the following :Oversee and manage mold production across the international mold manufacturing locationsActively monitor and balance workload and manufacturing capacity to optimize efficiency and reduce lead timeEnsure a world-class service level to support ALPLAinject project managers (PM), technical sales managers (TSM) and the solutioning team, especially with regards to speed-to-market, technical support and costsEnsure effective management of all stages of mold production, from order intake through manufacturing, assembly, mold testing, validation and shipmentCoordinate mold installation, startup, and service activities to achieve customer satisfaction (internal and external) and business goalsProvide strong leadership, mentorship, and direction to AMS Plant Managers and their operational teams at each mold shopDevelop and sustain a culture of excellence, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer-centric focus (internal and external)What makes you greatBachelor's degree in Mold Making, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline (Master's degree preferred).Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in mold manufacturing, tooling management, or similar manufacturing supply chain role, preferably within plastic injection molding.Demonstrated experience in managing global manufacturing operations and multi-site coordination.Strong project management and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.Successfully completed studies preferably higher technical or commercial education (e.g., University degree or similar)Profound knowledge of the relevant technologies applied in a mold shopExcellent command of written and spoken English, additional language skill a plusStrong communication skills in dealing with external / internal partners, excellent problem-solving skillsIntercultural competence skillsWilling and able to extensively travel internationally (30%-40%)What you can expect working with usWe reward good achievements and foster your potential with the diverse further training offered by the ALPLA Academy You can choose work hours that suit you within the flexible working time systemThere is ALPLA Kids all-day childcare for children aged between 15 months and 6 years We promote climate-friendly mobility with everything from a year-long season ticket for local public transport to purchasing an e-bike Benefit from discounts on tickets for sports events, better private insurance conditions, covered registration fees for running events and numerous discounts at retail outlets in Vorarlberg Legally mandatory note: In line with the minimum salary stipulated in the collective agreement, the actual salary for this position is based on professional qualifications and experience.
